The Magic Of Sunrises, Sunsets, Clouds & Skies!!

This is my personal tribute to that most heartwarming beauty, I have experienced at these two diurnal celestial occurrences, during my memorable stay in beautiful Qatar.  

The ever-changing colours of the sky-canvas, every moment of these two fascinating sights, are breathtaking and mesmerizing. The presence of clouds, if any at the time, adds an intriguing allure and a mystic magic to these moments!

This is a compilation of the various sunrises, sunsets and the respective skies at the time, I had clicked over the past couple of years. They had been clicked on the spur of the moment, as it occurs, from a variety of perches like moving cars, beaches, offices, homes, shopping malls, street sides, anywhere and everywhere. Whatever I have on hand at the moment becomes my instrument to capture it, so these pictures have been clicked with a variety of cameras that include SLRs and phone cameras. These images are from all over Doha, but a fairly large percentage of the sunrise images were taken over the Eastern horizon outside my home in Al Wukair. 

Here is my small side note about how the glorious Sun is playing an invisible "timekeeper" of our lives. The 'Sunrise' denotes the start of a new day in our lives. The 'Sunset' signals the end of that particular day. Thirty-odd of these days add up to become a month and a dozen of these months becomes a year and ten of them years a decade, and so on we travel in time with the Sun unfailingly keeping count of every single day, from our infancy to our old age. 

So, basically, it is with these twenty four hour units of time, that we call a "Day" which we welcome and send off with the rising and setting of the Sun, that each one of us accounts for our existence. The wonderful God Almighty has ensured that each and every day is born special and accorded a glorious farewell with these daily celebrations he has created in the form of Sunrises and Sunsets.

Thank you, God, for these spectacular daily gifts!!
